About This Role
The National Ancillary AR Manager plays a critical role in supporting Cigna’s affordability programs by ensuring effective claims administration and accounts receivable management for National Ancillary partners. This role is part of the National Ancillary Service and Operations Team and is responsible for end-to-end service delivery within assigned segments.
Aligned with an Account Team Manager, the AR Manager ensures timely and accurate claims processing, proactively monitors performance, conducts root-cause analysis, and drives service improvements. This individual partners closely with internal stakeholders and external National Ancillary partners to resolve claims issues, improve service quality, and minimize accounts receivable challenges.
The AR Manager serves as a subject matter expert on claims-related matters, provides guidance on policies and workflows, and influences stakeholders to achieve strong service outcomes. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills and includes both internal and external engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve open and unresolved claims and accounts receivable issues.
- Proactively monitor AR performance, SLAs, and trends; communicate results to account teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
- Partner with internal teams and external National Ancillary partners to improve claims performance and service quality.
- Serve as a claims subject matter expert in meetings and presentations.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in claims administration, benefits operations, and/or relationship or project management.
- Strong knowledge of claims processing, root cause analysis, and service improvement.
- Advanced knowledge of Cigna claims platforms (e.g., SANP, OneView, Benefit Access).
- Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables); advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Some travel required.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 66,600 - 111,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
