The Associate Director, Brokerage Sales (1099) is a sales leadership role that will report to William Kinkead Associate VP, Brokerage Sales. You will be responsible for driving growth within IFG's independent agent (1099) channel. This leader oversees a team of Regional Sales Executives and is accountable for expanding agent count, increasing agent productivity, and delivering defined sales and revenue targets.This role plays a key part in scaling IFG's brokerage distribution model by building a recruitment and production engine focused on sustainable, compliant growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategy to grow IFG's independent agent channel nationally.
- Lead and coach Regional Sales Executives responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and managing independent agents.
- Drive net new agent growth, activation rates, and production per active agent.
- Establish clear performance expectations and sales targets for the brokerage team.
- Monitor sales results, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts to ensure goals are met.
- Partner with Carrier Relations, Operations, Marketing, and Compliance to ensure agents are properly contracted, supported, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve agent engagement, retention, and overall channel productivity.
Success Metrics
- Net new contracted and producing agents
- Agent activation and time-to-first-sale
- Sales and revenue growth within the 1099 channel
- Production per active agent
- Agent retention and quality performance

Qualifications for success:
- 5+ years of sales leadership experience in brokerage, field distribution, or independent agent management.
- Experience recruiting and growing a 1099 or independent agent channel
- Experience leading regional or field-based sales teams
- Experience with regulated insurance distribution environments
- Results-driven with strong organizational, analytical, and communication sills
Preferred
- Experience with regulated insurance distribution environments in the Medicare Advantage space
- Advanced degree
