The Director, Product Delivery & Capability Enablement will be responsible for driving the delivery, implementation, and ongoing optimization of critical product capabilities across the organization. This role will partner closely with the Transformation Office to uplift team performance, address and mitigate operational risks, and ensure future readiness. The scope of work includes oversight of large-scale program management, process improvement, and continuous optimization initiatives. This leader will manage a small team, including a Principal-level resource, to ensure all deliverables meet regulatory and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery and implementation of high-impact, enterprise-wide product initiatives, with accountability for planning, execution, and value realization across people, process, and technology

  • Collaborate with the Transformation Office, IT, Growth Strategy, other key internal partners and senior leadership to identify, assess, and address open risks, integrating mitigation activities into ongoing product and operational efforts

  • Oversee process improvement and capability uplift activities, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous enhancement within the product organization

  • Direct large-scale program management efforts, ensuring effective cross-functional coordination and timely completion of deliverables

  • Integrate compliance requirements and controls into all product delivery activities, maintaining strong partnership with regulatory and operational teams

  • Manage and develop a small team, including a Principal-level resource, ensuring clear accountability, talent development, and professional growth

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and progress reports, articulating key priorities, risks, and solutions to senior stakeholders

  • Promote innovation and future-oriented thinking, anticipating changes in market dynamics and regulatory environments to maintain organizational readiness

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with outstanding academic credentials

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product delivery, program management, compliance, or related fields within healthcare or other regulated industries

  • Demonstrated expertise leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives focused on capability uplift, delivery, and risk mitigation

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences

  • Proven ability to build, manage, and develop high-performing teams

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (MBA, MPH, PhD, or related field)

  • Experience with Medicare Advantage or other highly regulated healthcare products

  • PMP, Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma certification

  • Experience embedding compliance and regulatory requirements into delivery and optimization efforts

Additional Information

Flexibility with work location; options include:

  • Humana’s headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky

  • Humana’s DC office in Arlington, VA

  • Other HUM offices as determine by candidate’s location

  • Remote, with majority of work conducted on Eastern time

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$168,000 - $231,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
