What you’ll do
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APls, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Java, and Go
- Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it
- Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
- Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale; Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Who you are
Minimum requirements
This position requires the following:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 1 year of Software Engineering experience.
- 1 year of experience working with Python, Java, Go programming languages.
- 1 year of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g. S3, EC2, EBS etc.).
- 1 year of experience implementing industry standard design patterns.
- 1 year of software engineering experience in building distributed backend applications at scale.
- 1 year of software engineering experience in building low latency systems.
Pay and benefits
Salary : $156,800 - $235,200/yr.
40 hrs/week
50% Telecommuting Permitted.
